Flow Yoga Seven Dials, Brighton & Hove

Yoga-fit Classes

Classes are given in an open, relaxed and safe environment providing a sanctuary from your everyday life. Most classes are a dynamic flow style of yoga (definition  below) and are suitable for people at all levels, as  modifications are given during postures. Carefully compiled playlists are used to complement the sequences. Music can help you to relax into postures, transport you from your daily routine and deepen your practice. Classes are fun, relaxed, sometimes challenging and definitely rewarding. I offer a number of classes throughout the week, as well as 1-to-1's.

Flow yoga

'Flow Yoga' is a type of vinyasa style yoga, harmonising breath and movement to give strength, grace and freedom. Vinyasa is a Sanskrit word which describes the way one moves from one asana (posture) to another, the link between the intention and the full pose.  In vinyasa flow yoga you use the breath to move from one posture into another, moving through a sequence of postures in a kind of moving meditation

Having never tried yoga before I was unsure of what to expect when I attended my first lesson with Danny however I needn't have worried. Danny is an excellent teacher who provides warm and encouraging feedback throughout the class and takes the time to explain the poses thoroughly. She also takes the time to really understand the motivation of her students as well as any health issues they may have. I'm a keen runner and Danny has been advising me on how yoga will work to supplement my running routine. I've really enjoyed her classes and can already feel an improvement in my abilities after just four sessions. I'm definitely a convert!

Emma Williamson  - Hove

Having  studied dance throughout my youth, I took my first yoga class in 1995 and became hooked.  My knowledge of form and posture gained through dance enhanced the awakening  of my body and the flow of movement in yoga.

I have  practised  various  yoga styles, (Astanga, Iyengar, Bikram, Jivamukti, Vinyasa Flow).   I completed my Yoga Alliance 200hr yoga teacher training at the beginning of  2014, and a Post Graduate Programme with IYN (Independent Yoga Network) with Unity  Brighton in 2017.  I am also a trained in Preganancy Yoga Teaching and Yin Yoga and have been working with John Stirk on his yoga teachers courses.

Yoga practice is a journey which unfolds through time and may become a way of life. For me classes leave me feeling energised focused and give strength to my mind,  body and soul. I hope you will find my classes and music uplifting, refreshing and you will leave feeling Yoga-fit

the harmony of the soul create the symphony of life" BKS Iyengar
